How much power does a tuned F80 M3 or F82 M4 make?

With EuroLab’s MHD custom dyno tune, the F80 M3 / F82 M4 (431hp stock, 450hp Competition) typically makes 500–530hp at Stage 1. Stage 2 with bolt-ons pushes to 540–600hp. With upgraded turbos, 700–800+whp is achievable. All figures SAE J1349-corrected on our Mainline CCS3600 hub dyno.

How much does it cost to tune an F80 M3 in Auckland?

MHD OTS (self-flash) is ~$993 for the S55 license plus $189 for the WiFi adapter. EuroLab’s MHD custom dyno tune is $2,500 incl. GST. xHP DCT transmission tune (OTS) is $769, custom from $1,769. No FEMTO or bench unlock required for F80/F82 models.

Is Stage 1 safe on the S55?

Yes. The S55 uses the same robust closed-deck design as the N55 with twin turbos added. Stage 1 (software only) is well within the engine’s mechanical limits. The S55’s crank hub is the main known weakness — we recommend a crank hub fix for any S55 being pushed beyond Stage 1.

Should I get a DCT tune for my M3/M4?

Highly recommended. The xHP DCT tune transforms the 7-speed — faster shifts, more aggressive gear holding, raised torque limiters, and launch control improvements. OTS from $769. For a custom DCT tune calibrated to your specific power level, $1,769.

What’s the difference between the M4 Competition and standard?

The Competition pack adds 19hp (450 vs 431hp), adaptive suspension, louder exhaust, and slightly different tuning. For ECU tuning purposes, both use the same S55 engine and both respond identically — Stage 1 results are virtually the same.

Can EuroLab do turbo upgrades on the S55?

Yes. We fit PureTurbos upgraded units for the S55. Pure Stage 2 Hi-Flow turbos are the most popular upgrade — they support 700+hp on the S55 platform. We handle the full build: turbo install, oil lines, calibration, and final dyno tune.
