How much power does a tuned M2 F87 make?

With EuroLab’s MHD custom dyno tune, the M2 F87 (370hp stock) typically makes around 410hp at Stage 1. The M135i and M235i (320–326hp stock) reach 365–380hp. Stage 2 with bolt-ons pushes all three models to 400–450hp. All figures SAE J1349-corrected on our Mainline hub dyno.

How much does it cost to tune an M135i or M2 in Auckland?

MHD OTS (self-flash at home) starts from ~$655–$993 for the license plus $189 for the WiFi adapter. EuroLab’s MHD custom dyno tune is $2,500 incl. GST — including baseline run, custom calibration, and final validation on our Mainline hub dyno.

What’s the difference between the N55 in the M2 vs M135i?

The M2 F87 uses the N55B30T0 with a higher-flowing turbo, upgraded intercooler, and a more aggressive factory tune (370hp vs 320–326hp). Internally the engines are identical — same block, same internals — so tuning potential is similar, but the M2 starts from a higher baseline.

Should I get a transmission tune for my M135i or M2?

Yes — the xHP transmission tune is one of the best upgrades for these cars. It dramatically improves the 8-speed auto with faster shifts, better gear holding, and raised torque limiters. OTS from $589 (F chassis), custom from $1,589.

Is the M135i a good platform for tuning?

The M135i F20 is one of the best-kept secrets in the BMW world. Rear-wheel drive, lighter than a 3-Series, and the N55 responds beautifully to tuning. A Stage 1 tune transforms it from a warm hatch to a genuine sports car — and parts are shared with the 335i so aftermarket support is excellent.
