European vehicle computers operate on three distinct layers. Understanding these is crucial to getting the result you want.

Software
The actual program residing on each ECU. Software updates fix bugs, improve performance, and add new features. We deploy manufacturer software updates and custom calibrations using the same tools as the official dealers.

Coding
The configuration of your vehicle for each specific control module. This is where features are enabled or disabled — from ambient lighting options to exhaust flap behaviour, start/stop defaults, and much more.

Will coding void my warranty?
Standard comfort coding (folding mirrors, lighting, etc.) doesn't affect your warranty. Performance modifications are a different story — we'll advise you clearly on what's safe and what isn't.
Can you reverse coding changes?
Yes. All coding changes are reversible. We can restore your vehicle to factory defaults at any time.
How long does coding take?
Simple comfort coding takes 30-60 minutes. More complex jobs like retrofits or software deployments may take half a day. We'll give you a clear timeframe upfront.
Do you code remotely?
No — for reliability and safety, all coding is done on-site with the vehicle connected to our diagnostic equipment. We need to verify every change live on the car.
